Yvon Latreille

Yvon Latreille has been painting since 12 years of age. He studied at college Saint-Alexandre de Gatineau and has a Bachelor of Arts from the University Laval. After 30 years of teaching, he is now retired and a full time painter.

When he started painting in the 1960’s, his work was mostly on wood or vinyl and was given as gifts to friends and family. He used the oil medium until 2008 and then started working with acrylic, a medium that he appreciates for its brightness.

He has touched on all subjects: portraits, urban and rural landscapes and still life. There is an increasing demand for his artwork and he offers most of it to foundations that he holds close to his heart.
