Norma Lehrer
Born in Montreal, she graduated from Concordia University with a B.A. in Fine Arts and M.A. in art education (1978). She has worked as an illustrator and graphic artist for the newspapers, magazines and designed 3 dimensional displays for advertising and has taught drawing, painting and fashion design. Her work follows a thematic approach, her subject matter ranges from expressive, landscape, nature and the figure. She loves to work with watercolour and acrylic because the two media allow for an expressive and spontaneous approach to the subject working with bright overlapping colours, weaving patterns and textures which flow through her work. She participated in numerous juried shows at Galerie Stewart Hall, Galerie McClure, Westmount, Galerie Pink, Ogilvy, Maison des Arts du Haut Richelieu, Maison de la culture de Saint-Henri, Galerie de la Ville de Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Galerie Shorer etc.
