2015. Biography. Joanna Pienkowski

Joanna Pienkowski was born in Poland in 1966. She spent part of her childhood in France before coming to Montreal with her family in 1983. She has a vast experience and university studies in the area of the arts. 1993, Masters in scenography, Academy of Fine Arts, Cracovie, Poland. 1990, Bachelor of Arts, specialization in Design Art, Concordia University, Montreal. 1989, D.E.C. in Arts and Communication, Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf, Montreal. Joanna chose water colors, a technique she has been practising for many years. She uses water, paper, the brush and colors to discover the magic of transparency. In 2013, she received first prize in the category of watercolors '' Wonderland'' Concours d'art Montréal; 2011, Honourable mention in the category of watercolors : '' les deux koî '' Concours d'art, Montréal; 2010, honorable mention in the category of Watercolors '' Capucines'' Concours d'art, Montreal.
