Alexandre Balitski

Alexandre Balitski, has been based in Canada since December 1992. Paintings of this world renowned artist can be found in Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Israel, The Netherlands, Switzerland, United States and the Museums of State of the former Soviet Union. Three of his paintings, a triptych entitled Requiem, are in the art collection of the Vatican. As a preferred medium, Balitski uses oils, acrylic, and tempera to create haunting, magnificently and unusual colors for most of his works. His creations reflect aspects of his life, beliefs, emotions and passion. Since his arrival in Canada, he has introduced into his style the new ideas and materials of his present environment. This makes for an unusual and unforgettable merging of styles and concepts of Europe and North America, profoundly influenced by the unique character and environment of Canada.
