Gordon Pym

Gordon Pym is a Canadian artist who lives in Montreal. He recently received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing, from Concordia University. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the Université de Montréal. He has worked with dyes and pigments throughout his professional career and this interest is apparent in his work. He uses classic oil painting techniques and enjoys the use of traditional methods and materials. He often uses chalk-ground panels and formulates his own oil paints. He believes this gives him a greater control over the atmospheric effects that he strives to achieve in his work.
He has exhibited in solo, open and juried group shows and has won awards and honorable mentions. He is a member of several professional associations. His work is in corporate and private collections across Canada and the United Stares.
