Margaret Stevens

Margareta Stevens was born in Sweden and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She studied sculpture at the Saidye Bronfman Center for the Arts under Celina Segal and participated in student exhibitions.

Since 1988, she has had a private studio and workshop at Complexe du Canal. She has exhibited at the Galerie Saint Paul in Old Montreal and in group exhibitions at Complexe du Canal.  She does not use power tools and she almost exclusively works with stone such as alabaster, limestone, soapstone and marble.

Her work is in private collections in the United States, Canada and Sweden.
