2012. Xenia. Biography1

Xenia Vuvrides  always liked to draw and paint and began correspondence art courses with the Minneapolis Art Instruction Schools, but when college studies started, they took precedence over art courses.  However, the passion for art never ceased and even though her education led her to another field, she would paint or draw to release the tension of the stressful days. Her preferred medium is acrylic, but she is equally at ease with oil and watercolour, painting mostly flowers and scenery. She has taken art classes and various workshops with, Micheline Hadjis, Ghulam Mustafa and Ljubomir Ivankovic. Xenia taught decorative art for several years to elementary school students and for the past 5 years she has been teaching decorative art to adults. In 2010 she opened an art gallery with Angelina Mirarchi, in Ste-Geneviève, where artists are able to exhibit their paintings and where a large variety of workshops are taught to professional artists or aspiring artists.
