Born in Mikromani, a picturesque village of Greece, Georgia Kourleti pursued her artistic interests in the sixties. After a career as a midwife and nurse, she took art courses in order to develop her sense of colour and texture. She paints with oil and watercolours.

In recent years, she has been painting icons in the Byzantine and other styles.  She has presented at the Shield of Athena art auction and has had solo exhibitions in Canada and Greece.
