Margot McPherson-Balanos

Margot McPherson was born in Montreal. After completing two years of Art History at the American University in Paris, she received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1984. She has worked in various areas of art and design in the United States, Canada and Europe. From 1994 to 2004 she lived and worked as a painter and sculptor on the island of Santorini and in Athens Greece where she and her husband had two galleries. Her work is profoundly influenced by classical antiquity and her admiration for the ancient canons of balance and beauty which reflect man’s original quest for perfection and truth in art.
